Surprise Groceries—From Heavy to Humble

Surprise Groceries—From Heavy to Humble

We’ve been through some ups and downs lately, and honestly, that week had been one of the tougher ones. Then, out of the blue, a delivery showed up at our door. Bags of groceries with fresh produce, pantry staples, even a couple of small treats tucked inside. At first, we thought there must’ve been a mistake. No note, no name, no receipt. Just food we needed, right when we needed it most.

We asked around, of course. We called family, texted neighbors, even checked with the store. Nothing. That’s when we spotted a card tucked in one of the bags: “You’ve been ghosted.”

We both laughed and then we might have cried that someone out there thought about us, cared enough to act, and wanted no credit at all.

Whoever our “ghost” is, they turned a heavy week into a hopeful one. And now? We’re already talking about who we can ghost next. Because it turns out, getting ghosted the good way is something everyone deserves to feel.
