Your Cart is empty
So last week I finally tried this “Ghost Giving” thing, and I’ve gotta admit—it felt pretty good. I baked up a couple loaves of my chocolate chip banana bread, wrapped one in foil, and snuck it over to Brother and Sister J., the sweetest older couple in our ward. They’ve both had some health struggles lately, and I just kept thinking how much I’ve learned from their quiet faith. I left the loaf with a Ghost Giver card on their porch, rang the bell, and practically sprinted back to my car like I was 12 again, ding-dong ditching.
The next morning in our sacrament meeting, I watched them sitting together, smiling and whispering like they had a little secret, and I couldn’t stop grinning. They’ll never know it was me, and that’s honestly the best part. Just a small thing, but it reminded me that God notices the little efforts we make for each other. And somehow, banana bread can feel a whole lot like love.
